This policy applies to the website and online audition programme operated as The Main Character Story (including decibleprime.com and related domains). When we say “we”, “us” or “our”, we mean the organisers of this competition.

Depending on how you use the site, we may collect:

• Registration details: name, email, mobile number, age, city, state and category (Kids 8–15, Adults 16–50, or 50+).
• Audition material: video files you upload, or links you share (for example Google Drive or YouTube).
• Payment details processed by Razorpay (we receive payment status and reference IDs; we do not store your full card or UPI PIN).
• Messages sent through the contact form: name, email, phone, subject and message.
• Technical data such as IP address, browser type and pages visited, used to run and secure the site.

We use this information to:

• Process registrations, payments and registration numbers.
• Review auditions and communicate about shortlisting, schedules or next steps.
• Respond to support, partnership and press enquiries.
• Improve the website, prevent fraud and comply with Indian law.

We do not sell your personal information.

We share data only with service providers who help us run the programme, including hosting and database (Supabase), payments (Razorpay) and video storage (Cloudinary), and only as needed for those services. If you paste a Drive or YouTube link, that platform’s own privacy terms also apply.

We may disclose information if required by law, a court order or to protect our rights and participants.

The Kids category is for ages 8–15. A parent or legal guardian must complete or consent to the registration, payment and any video submission. Do not submit a child’s information unless you have that authority. Contact us if you need a child’s data corrected or removed.

We keep registration, payment and audition records for as long as needed to run this season, handle disputes or refunds, and meet legal or accounting requirements. Contact messages are kept so we can follow up and improve support.

You may ask to access, correct or delete personal data we hold, subject to records we must keep for law, payment or competition integrity. Write to us via the contact page or email hello@themaincharacter.in.

We use reasonable technical and organisational measures to protect data. No internet transmission is completely secure. Please keep your email and payment accounts protected.

We may update this policy as the programme or the law changes. The “Last updated” date at the top of this page will change when we do. Continued use of the site after an update means you accept the revised policy.
