By visiting this website or submitting a registration, you agree to these Terms, our Privacy Policy, Disclaimer and Refund Policy. If you do not agree, please do not use the site or register.

The Main Character Story is a nationwide online singing audition and related live or recorded stages organised by us. Registration is an application to be considered. It is not a guarantee of selection, a prize, a recording contract or a television appearance.

We may change dates, format, categories, jury, venues, broadcast plans or rules, or pause registrations, where reasonably needed to run the programme.

• Open to participants in India unless we state otherwise for a season.
• Kids category: ages 8–15. A parent or legal guardian must register and pay.
• Adults category: ages 16–50.
• 50+ category: ages 50 and above.
• You must provide true details. False age, identity or contact information may lead to disqualification without refund.

Online registration requires the details on the form and payment of the audition fee shown at checkout (charged in INR via Razorpay when payment is enabled). Completing payment (or a confirmed pending registration, if we allow it) issues a registration number.

Fees, refunds and failed payments are governed by the Refund Policy.

Videos are optional unless a season states otherwise. You confirm that you own the performance and have rights to any backing track, and that you (or a guardian) have permission to submit the recording.

By submitting a video or link, you grant us a non-exclusive, royalty-free licence to use, store, review and, where we reasonably need to, crop or stream that material for judging, operations and promotion of The Main Character Story, in any media. You keep ownership of your performance.

Do not upload content that is illegal, defamatory, sexually explicit involving minors, or that infringes someone else’s rights.

Jury and organiser decisions on shortlisting, categories and progression are final. Abuse of staff, judges or other participants, or attempts to game the process, may result in removal from the programme.

You may not copy, scrape or misuse the site, attempt to access admin areas, or interfere with security. All logos, copy, design and brand elements remain our property or that of our licensors.

To the fullest extent permitted by Indian law, we are not liable for indirect loss, missed opportunities, or issues caused by your device, internet, third-party platforms (Razorpay, Cloudinary, Google, YouTube) or events outside our reasonable control. Our total liability for a claim relating to a registration is limited to the audition fee you paid for that registration.

These Terms are governed by the laws of India. Courts in India shall have exclusive jurisdiction, subject to any mandatory consumer-protection venue that applies to you.
